Skylark by Elle & Blair - Jelly Shot

Jelly Shot is the final colour from Skylark's spring/summer mini set, and it probably had the best formula of the lot. It still dragged a little, but it wasn't as streaky as the other polishes. I ended up using 3 coats "just in case," but I most likely could have gotten away with 2. People say this colour can make you look more tanned, but unfortunately I looked as pasty as usual with this colour on :( (though it is winter so I can't expect it to perform miracles...)
Overall, this set was a win for me because I'm a nail junkie and I 'gotta catch 'em all', but I'm sure you could find similar colours at a cheaper price (though I still haven't found an exact dupe for any of these yet).

Skylark by Elle & Blair - B-Days in Cabo

If I had to pick a favourite from the Wild & Free mini set, it would probably be this one. I'm a sucker for pinks, and this pink is a little cooler than my typical "barbie" bright pinks (it's slightly cooler than Essie's Boom Boom Room, and MAC's Saint Germain). It might look like my photos are a little washed out since I've seen this photographed as a more bright, hotter pink on other blogs, but my photos are accurate to what I saw when looking at my nails *shrugs*

Skylark by Elle & Blair - Sea Glass

The catch up posts begin. Sorry if I spam your feeds!

Since I really enjoyed wearing Dream Catcher from the Wild & Free mini set, I decided to test out the rest of them. Sea Glass is a blue leaning mint and another that I couldn't find an exact dupe for (it is a little greener than Essie's Mint Candy Apple or Dior's Nymphea, but not as green/dusty as the likes of Zoya's Neely or as bright as Color Club's Blue-ming or Butter London's Fiver). The formula on this one was better than Dream Catcher, but I still had to be careful of dragging when I painted on the next coat.

Skylark by Elle & Blair - Dream Catcher

Sorry guys, I've had such a busy few days that I've been neglecting this blog! However, I have been photographing my nails every day so expect me to spam your readers sometime soon! (probably not tonight though, I'm so tired >.<)

I've been a huge fan of Elle & Blair Fowler for years. I first stumbled upon Blair's youtube about 2 or 3 months after she'd uploaded her first video, and Elle a couple of days after that. Since Skylark is only sold through blush.com, and Blush don't ship nail polish to Australia, I skipped on their first nail polish set for winter. But something about Wild & Free just really appealed to me, so I fumbled my way through alternative shipping to get these in my hands.

The great news is that I couldn't find a single dupe in my stash of Dream Catcher. Everything was either too pink, not pink enough or too milky and not dusty enough. Wear time was also pretty decent and lasted a full day at work with minor tip wear (which is great for me with any brand!) The not as good news was that the formula was a little difficult to work with. The polish had a tendency to drag so my first 2 coats were thin and I had to wait until it was completely dry before starting the next coat, and my third coat was thick in order to cover some streakiness. It was also pricey with the mini bottles and the shipping costs. That being said, I am glad I got this set because I enjoy supporting people I've been following for a while, and the colours are right up my alley.

It turns pink-ier in direct sunlight, but the lilac colour was what I saw most of the time I was wearing it.
