May Nail Polish Haul

After suffering through tonsillitis for the first time this last week, I am finally back with a monthly haul. I was supposed to have more photos this month, but long story short I lost them somehow :( Anyway, this month I binged in nail polish more then I should have, and by the end of the month I was feeling quite terrible/guilty over how many polishes I owned. A few days later I was back to admiring all the pretty colours, but don't you hate it when you feel guilty about something you love?

OPI L-R: Done Out In Deco / Do You Lilac It? / A Grape Fit!
First up is OPI. I'm on a lilac/lavender kick at the moment so I gave in and purchased some oldies. I haven't worn any of these yet, but I can't wait!

OPI L-R: Tickle My France-y / Dulce De Leche / Hot & Spicy / Mod-Ern Girl
Hot & Spicy has been on my wishlist for years, so I finally made the leap and bought it. The rest just sort of found it's way into my cart ;) I wore Dulce De Leche which was fine but not all that flattering on me, the rest are untrieds.

OPI L-R: Here Today...Aragon Tomorrow / I Brake For Manicures / Road House Blues
Finding I Brake For Manicures was a bit of a mammoth task for me this month, but I finally got it! It certainly sparked my interest in darks, but the other two are still untried.

OPI L-R: Stranger Tides / Houston We Have a Purple / Mrs O'Leary's BBQ
Mrs O'Leary's BBQ was only purchased because of MeghanRosette because red-toned darks don't tend to look good on me, but it's still untried. Loved wearing the other two this month though, great colours and formulas.

Essie L-R: No Baggage Please / Meet Me at the Alter / Using My Maiden Name
All from Essie's newest wedding collection, I passed up the fourth colour. I really enjoyed wearing all three this month, even if the shimmer was super subtle in the first two colours.

OPI Vintage Minnie Collection
I bought this on a whim whilst I was wondering through Myer. I'm not really a fan of mini polishes in general, but OPI especially since they're nameless when you get rid of the box. I'm All Ears really sucked me in though. All untried.

OPI - OPI Loves David Jones (David Jones Exclusive)
I recently saw this on a blog and thought "Oh hey, limited edition in Australia? I must need it!" It's just a milky white-pink, but from what I saw of swatches, it's a beautiful colour (I couldn't even get it out of the box for this photo! Time to hack with some scissors! >_< )

Essie L-R: Bottle Service / Boom Boom Room
The only two I picked up from Essie's neon collection (something about a DJ?). I only picked up the two pinks last month, but I did end up ordering the orange one last night. Untrieds, it's not really the weather to wear neon at the moment.

Skylark by Elle & Blair L-R: Jelly Shot / B-days in Cabo / Sea Glass / Dream Catcher
Some people will wonder why I bothered picking up Elle & Blair's nail polish set (especially at the price they come at for the amount in the bottle!). I picked this up more because I've been big fans of the girls since I started watching their videos years ago. But I do love all the colours that set came with, I just wish they weren't mini bottles.

Deb Lippmann L-R: Million Dollar Mermaid / Do the Mermaid / Mermaid's Kiss / Sweet Dreams
This Deborah Lippman set was actually the trigger as to why I felt nail-polish-guilty this month. I forgot I ordered them. Like, completely had no idea they were coming. At about $19 each, I really shouldn't have forgotten I'd ordered these! (Especially since I thought I'd talked myself out of buying them!) Haven't had a chance to wear any yet.

China Glaze L-R: Sun of a Peach / Neon & On & On / Shell-o
I was so excited for China Glaze's newest summer collection (Sunsational) because these colours are just so darn cheery! I absolutely love looking at every single bottle I picked up from this collection, though I've yet to try any yet. Neon isn't exactly work appropriate just yet ;)

China Glaze L-R: Bottoms Up / You Drive Me Coconuts / Heat Index
Heat Index and You Drive Me Coconuts look a lot more different in real life then they do in this photo. Heat index is much more warmer.

China Glaze L-R: Highlight Of My Summer / Keepin' It Teal / That's Shore Bright
That's Shore Bright is such a cute name! Definitely can't wait to wear this one!

L-R: Starlet / Pistachio Creme / Bleu Velvet
Onto Chanel! I was umm-ing and ahh-ing over whether to buy Starlet (which I constantly type/say Startlet), but I'm so glad I did. Definitely up there with Emprise for me! The two MAC polishes were from the Baking Beauties collection, and whilst I definitely don't keep up with MAC collections anymore, I couldn't resist these two. I know everyone and their dog say that MAC's formula sucks and is a waste of money, but sometimes it's just hard to resist, ya'know? I've been wearing Pistachio Creme on my toes almost all month.

Ulta3 L-r: Corsican Rose / Lilac Bloom / Orange Blossom / Soft Hydrangea
Oh Ulta3. I was feeling a little guilty that I only wear salon/high end nail polishes and I thought for the sake of this blog I'd try to delve back into cheaper polishes. These polishes are from an old spring collection (last year or the year before?) and I have to say it really reminded me of why I don't buy cheap that much anymore. The formula that I'm used to just wasn't there. It was streaky and thick and just didn't dry.

Hope you enjoyed my haul for the month! I'm pretty certain I've forgotten some polishes that I picked up at the start of the month, but if I realise which ones they are, I'll just show them next month. I hope you guys had a good month of May, and Happy June! (my birthday month, yay!).
