China Glaze - Re-fresh Mint

I really love wearing mint nail polishes, and Re-fresh Mint is no exception. The formula wasn't a dream - it was thick and a little gloopy, making for a slightly uneven finish - and it dried so darn slowly I had to completely re-do 2 nails like an hour after I'd finished painting them. But it is a lovely colour, I'd just recommend finding it in another brand.

Essie - Where's My Chauffeur

This has been doing the rounds on blogs lately, but since I picked it too, I'll blog about it too. This is nice: nice colour, nice formula, nicely opaque in 2 coats, etc. But for me it wasn't anything more than 'nice,' so whilst I'll probably get another use out of it this summer, it won't be a colour I'll be reaching for often.

PS: My 'meh' attitude may just be because I'm off work with the flu... :( If so, I'll let you know! haha

MAC - Everything That Glitters

As soon as I saw swatches of this shade online, I just knew I had to pick it up. It sold out SO quickly online though, so I pestered my local MAC counter every day until they got the collection, and still I managed to pick up the last one left. Sorry if this is sold out where you're from, because you really missed out on a gem! Isn't it just so pretty?! This was 2 coats, no top coat. It was very slightly gritty but I actually liked the rougher feel, though if it bothers you just pop on a top coat. All photos taken in cloudy sunlight.

China Glaze - Light As Air

Sorry guys, forgot to post this one last weekend. Just a really pretty lilac purple from the Up & Away collection a few years back. 2 coats, no top coat.

Essie - Peach Daiquiri

Hi guys! Today I reached into the back of my Essie draw and selected an oldie. This isn't anything original or unique, but it is a pretty brighter pink coral and it was just what I wanted to wear today. 2 coats, no top coat - it's so shiny! Oops about the dent in my ring finger, I was rushing today >_>

Chi Chi - Don't Hide Yourself

I often over look Chi Chi when both purchasing nail polish and painting my nails, which is silly because it's probably my favourite Australian brand nail polish. Don't Hide Yourself is unlike any other green I have in my collection, and the only way I know how to describe it is as a 'bright but pastel yellow-green.' Anyway, I think it is so refreshing, and it would look amazing as a base for glitters or nail art.

3 coats, no top coat. I get my Chi Chi from Myer or Target.

L'Oreal Paris - Mysterious Icon

It's been a little dark and gloomy where I live lately so I decided to break the darker colours back out. I think this colour looks really nice in the bottle, but I was a tad disappointed when I painted it on - it turned a little brown. I do have one small complaint about the bottle though. Whilst I love the fact that these are minis (thus cheaper, haha), the brush on these are similar in size to OPI/Sally Hansen CSM/etc. Whilst I'm not a fan of the huge brush heads anyway, it was kind of difficult to pop the brush back into the bottle without catching a couple of bristles around the opening. But if that doesn't bother you, I do recommend this because it dried really quickly and it lasted really well without even putting a top coat on.

2 coats, no top coat.
