Australis - Kick the Bucket

Another new one by Australis. This actually wasn't as thick and hard to work with as the other Australis polishes I've been wearing lately, so that was nice :) I only needed 1 coat, with 1 coat of Revlon's quick dry top coat.

Australis - Mates Rates

This is one of the new ones Australis just recently brought out - a dark, forest green with gold shimmer. It does have a thicker formula, which made it a little difficult to work with in hotter weather, but I don't own anything like this so I'm happy with it. This is two coats though if you paint well you'll only need one, and no top coat. Oh and because it was thicker, it didn't dry all that quickly, hence the dents in my nails (I was being impatient today, oops!)

Dior - Waterlily

Only had time to snap one picture today because I'm rushing off to a wedding. This colour has been popping up on most nail blogs as it has just recently been released, and it is very pretty :) As my first Dior polish, I didn't realise that the brush was so wide! (think Sally Hansen's complete salon manicure line). It also has a really pleasant rose smell. 2 coats.

Australis - Vampy

This was the other polish released with Flip Flops, and I like it a million times more. It's a bit brighter than what I would usually call a vampy polish, but that is what makes this colour so unique in my collection. Like most Australis nail polishes, it had a thick formula, which for some means a one coater. I applied 2 with one coat of Essie's Good to Go! top coat. Btw, Australis polishes are now on sale for $4.95 at Priceline.

Sally Hansen - Virtual Violet

My nails were finally starting to grow into a half-decent length, and what do I do? Nibble them right back down again :( It was a boredom thing, and I was so mad at myself! Anyway, sorry for even shorter nails for the next couple of posts, but I'll be slapping Sally Hansen's nail growth stuff on like crazy, so hopefully that does the trick!

Now, back on to the swatches. Priceline just got a whole heap of new polishes in from Sally Hansen and Australis, so I went a little crazy yesterday. I was almost going to pass this up because it's such an obvious and predictable colour that I thought I'd have a million and one copies. Luckily I only had one by Chi Chi and it was quite a few shades darker in both the purple and blue shades. This was nice to apply (2 coats). All photos were taken in natural daylight.
