OPI - Ruble For Your Thoughts

Since you can't get OPI where I live, my lovely friend from Sydney was willing to send me a few shades. I asked her to surprise me, and this is one of the shades she sent. It's unlike anything I own since it's a brown/coppery red. It was a touch streaky, but it wasn't as noticeable on the nails as it is in these pictures. This was 3 coats (it was opaque in 2 but I wanted to see if another coat would erase the streakiness - it didn't), with no top coat.

Essie - Super Bossa Nova

This was from Essie's latest summer collection and this was my favourite from the bunch. It seems like such a generic colour, and I suppose it is, but for some reason I just fell in love with it. It went on smoothly and opaquely in 2 coats, and this was without a top coat.

Revlon - Tangerine

This came out in a spring or summer collection last year, and I thought it was so different to my usual oranges (which are really just corals) that I would instantly love it. Um...wrong. This may work for a select few, but I think this colour will be unflattering on a lot of different skin types. I literally cringed when I would see my nails in my peripheral! 2 coats, no top coat.

Revlon - Raspberry Rush

I don't really wear reds very much so I thought it would be nice to whip one out again. This is on the pinker side of red and I absolutely love it. This was limited edition, but Revlon's Cherries In the Snow is very, very similar (maybe a touch more pink and a touch deeper if I'm being picky!). 2 coats, no top coat.

Ulta3 - Pacific Fever

I can't believe this is the first time I'm wearing this colour, it's so bright and pretty! 2 coats, no top coat.

I just wanted to make a quick note and apology for my regular viewers that the next 4 weeks will be extremely busy at work, so I'll probably end up posting every second day instead of daily. This will also give me a chance to reuse some of my summer colours that I've already swatched before it's time to pull out my autumn ones ^_^

Revlon - Peach Smoothie

When this first came out, I wore it straight for weeks (I was also an avid nail biter back then and it was a perfect there-but-not-there polish). It takes about 2 coats for opacity and it paints on smooth if you're not completely distracted (middle finger - oops!).

MAC - Blueblood

Dark colours are so unforgiving, I swear I thought I had cleaned up my cuticles! anyway, this was from the Daphne something collection that was out last month. 3 coats, no top coat.

Sally Hansen - Mint Sorbet

It was unbearably hot today, so I'm glad I chose Mint Sorbet since it is a "fresh" colour. Whilst this was a pain to paint on and was most probably the thickest polish I own, it was nice and refreshing on my nails, especially since I so often reach for Essie's Mint Candy Apple. Whilst they are very similar colours, Mint Sorbet leans more yellow.

Revlon - Girly

I had internet connection issues yesterday so this is yesterday's mani - a lilac metallic.  It was a little thick for my liking (plus it dried super slowly) but it was pretty so I dealt with it.

Australis - Sinfully Sweet

One of my favourite colours to paint my nails is pale pink, so I couldn't help but pick up this colour from Australis' new range. Whilst I love the colour, the formula was a pain to work with (very thick = messy application) and to be honest, I'll probably always reach for my Essie pale pinks over this one. 2 coats, no top coat. And because it's a knicksandnails photo, there is a dent in the middle finger ;)

Revlon - Fierce

This looks so lovely in the bottle, so I was disappointed when I couldn't get that silver flash that the other polishes in this collection have. I just missed the sun when I was taking these photos, so they're all taken in cloudy lighting, but even in the direct sunlight, the polish didn't change from this colour, it just got sparklier/shinier.

Whilst I'm not really a chunky glitter wearer, I decided to put one coat of OPI's Servin' Up Sparkle on regardless, and I must say I prefer this combo to wearing Fierce alone.

Chi Chi - Show Me the Money

Finally caught up :) Now onto today's nails. This applied really smoothly, was opaque after 2 thin coats, and the shimmer picks up really nicely. Oh and I apologise, I completely forgot to finish cleaning up my nails before photographing this!

Australis - Foil Spoil vs Chanel - Graphite

I only picked this up because it looked like Chanel's Graphite, and whilst I already own that, I thought I could do a dupe post. It's a little picture heavy, so read on if you're interested :)

Revlon - Plum Seduction

Revlon's Plum Seduction is pretty, bright pinky plum, and one of Revlon's most popular nail polishes. This is 2 coats, and I don't think I did a top coat with this one.

Revlon - Creme Brulee

I have been so busy for the last 3 days so I haven't been able to post daily :( I have, however, continued to photograph my nails so I'll be posting them all today. Creme Brûlée has been talked about so much on both youtube and nail blogs that I was really excited to try it out. It looks so pretty in the bottle - tan with gold shimmer. On my nails, however, it was streaky and I'm not really sure it matched my skin tone well. This was 2 coats with Revlon's quick dry top coat.

Sally Hansen - The Real Teal

Not much to say about this one. It's bright and it's pretty. 2 coats.

Australis - Speck-tacular

Whilst it was gloomy this morning, the sun has since come out and I wanted something sparkly on my nails, without having to remove my polish. Thus, another Australis post! This was 2 coats (on top of Kick the Bucket), and it is the only flakie I own so I don't know how good it looks next to other brands. I'll let you make up your own mind.

All photos taken in direct sunlight :)
